Hamilton Arts Council announces Hamilton Arts Week, taking place June 8-17, 2023, and is now accepting applications from artists and arts organizations to participate in providing ‘Signature Events’.
Presented on behalf of the City of Hamilton, Arts Week is returning for a ninth year with 10-days of unique events and activities across the city for residents and visitors to discover!
Applicants can request between $500 – $2,500 to be used towards equitable payment of artists and event contributors. Applications will be accepted until March 26, 2023 at 11:59 P.M. ET. The Hamilton Arts Council encourages applications from artists or groups of all experience-levels, and from those who represent the diversity of creative communities across the Greater Hamilton Area. Proposed activities can be for online, in-person or hybrid audiences, and should align with one or more of the program priorities, which include presentations that explore compelling themes and/or innovation.
Eligible applications will be adjudicated by a panel of Hamilton-area arts practitioners and professionals who guide the selection of Signature Events.
