The Downtown Hamilton BIA announces the return of the Gore Park Summer Promenade; a weekly concert series in Gore Park every Thursday from May 25 to August 31.
This year, a new format is being introduced to encourage audiences to enjoy more music and activities. Two bands will perform each Thursday; the first band from 12-2pm, and the second band from 4-6pm. A sound technician from Dr. Disc will be onsite each day to ensure that audiences hear the best quality sound possible.
In between the performances, activations will take place in Gore Park and local vendors and organizations will be invited to share information about their services. Seating and life-sized games including Connect4, Jenga and chess will be positioned throughout the park each week. Weather permitting, there will be a food truck present at every day of the Summer Promenade.
The Summer Promenade is a free event held rain-or-shine. In the event of extreme weather, the Downtown BIA will notify audiences of cancellations through their social media channels.
