Arts For All, a charity of the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts, is proud to announce the return of Kinderfest, an intimate multi-arts festival designed to stimulate the emotional and intellectual development of young children. The festival features aesthetically rich performances from celebrated artists and arts companies from Ontario and Quebec, including Puzzle Theatre, Carousel Players, and Shayenne Productions.
Kinderfest will take place in Hamilton neighbourhoods from May 19 – 30. During the festival, young children aged 0-6 will have the opportunity to experience captivating performances designed specifically for their age group. Puzzle Theatre from Montreal will perform Wood/Bois, while Carousel Players will present The Incredible Adventure of Mary Jane Mosquito, and Shayenne Productions will feature Yassama and the Beaded Calabash. Each performance is designed to engage young minds and inspire creativity.
Kinderfest is supported by the Government of Canada, Ontario Arts Council, and Canada Council for the Arts, as well as local sponsors Today’s Family Early Learning and Childcare and the City of Hamilton Children’s and Community Services Division. The festival aims to deepen the network of early year’s arts activities across the region and share artistic expertise, knowledge, and resources.

We believe that the confidence they acquire teaches them to embrace the path towards holistic wellness and inner harmony.’’
Among the captivating performances, Puzzle Theatre will present “Wood/Bois”on May 24, 11am at Fieldcote Park EarlyON Centre and Shayenne Productions will perform at Whitehern Historic Garden, 10:30am and 1:45pm. Both performances are free events, and families and children of all ages are welcome to attend and enjoy the mesmerizing shows by these acclaimed companies.

- BOIS/Woods performed by Puzzle Theatre at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 24 at Fieldcote Museum and Park EarlyON Centre (64 Sulphur Springs Road, Ancaster)
- BOIS/Woods performed by Puzzle Theatre at 11:30am and 1:45pm on Thursday, May 25 at Westwood Elementary School (9 Lynbrook Drive)
- Yassama and the Beaded Calabash by Shayenne Productions at 10:30am and 1:45pm on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Whitehern Historic House and Garden (41 Jackson Street West)
