- As part of Hamilton Musicians’ Conference 2022, Hamilton musicians/bands are invited to participate in an Electronic Press Kit day. For more information or to apply by September 6, visit their website.
- The City of Hamilton invites members of the public to give input on strategies and a vision for the Hamilton Waterfront Trust Centre property and adjacent lands. A 5-10 minute survey to gather input is available on the Engage Hamilton website until September 23.

- The Workers Arts & Heritage Centre announces the appointment of Tara Bursey as their new Executive Director. She will begin in the role as of August 29.
- The Ontario Arts Council announces the appointment of Michael Murray as their new CEO. He will begin in the role as of August 29.
- The City of Burlington invites First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists residing in Canada to propose artwork that will be installed as vinyl wraps on a series of nine large electrical boxes in Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park. - Cobalt Connects and the City of Hamilton seek artists for installations, murals, light-based works and performance to be a part of the February 10 – 20 Winterfest Hub. For more information and to apply by September 9, please review the full call to artists.
- The City of Burlington seeks Expressions of interest from professional artists or artist teams to create a mural for a large exterior wall as part of the Mountainside Pool Revitalization Project. Expressions of Interest are due September 16, 2022. The full call to artists can be viewed here.

- The City of Hamilton invites members of the public to give input on shortlisted proposals for a public art project to be located at the corner of Jackson & Locke Streets by August 22. Please visit the Engage Hamilton website to review proposals and give your feedback.
- Hamilton Theatre Inc. have added an extra audition call for their upcoming production of Heathers The Musical. Auditions have been added on August 25. For more information, or to signup, please visit their website.
- The Barton Neighbourhood BIA is seeking pop-up art installations for ‘Anything is Possible on Barton’ storefront activations from October 7 – November 25. Full project details and a call for proposal is available on the Barton BIA website. Online submissions are due August 26.
- The Art Gallery of Hamilton is seeking vendors for a 10-day multi-arts festival. Apply to be a vendor by August 31 on their website.
- Hamilton Artists’ Inc. welcomes applications for vendors for the Quirky AF Art Fair on November 11 – 12. Applications close on September 14.

- The Hamilton Indie Musician Development Program is accepting applications from musicians/bands wanting individual assistance on marketing or branding, tour planning or fan/audience development. - The Arts Reactivation Program provides a one-time relief payment of up to $2,500 for live performance workers in Canada outside of Quebec, with a focus on theatrical and technical disciplines. - The Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) is launching a new Green Award to recognize projects that have a sustainable impact and passion for the connection between the arts and environmental stewardship. Find out more here.
- The Government of Canada via the Department of Canadian Heritage has given the Unison Fund $16 Million to disburse to Canadian live music workers. Any independent or self-employed live music worker can apply for a one-time payment of $2,500.
