Hamilton Happenings

  • The Hamilton Film Festival is looking for input into potential classes, courses or workshops the new Hamilton Film Festival’s School of Media Arts can offer. Feedback can be provided by completing the survey here.
  • LIVELab at McMaster University presents a new docu-series, ‘The Art of Science’ beginning on March 2 at 7pm. The series takes viewers behind the scenes and into the minds of LIVELab researchers and scientists as they discuss the coordination of music and dance. The series is available for free on the LIVELab’s YouTube and Facebook channel.

Awards Season is Upon Us

  • Congratulations to Stony Plain Records in Waterdown, who has several nominees in the The Blues Foundation’s 2022 music awards. Sue Foley’s album, Pinky’s Blues is nominated for Album of the Year and Traditional Blues Album; Sue Foley is also nominated for Traditional Blues Female Artist alongside Rory Block. Let’s Get Happy Together by Maria Muldaur with Tuba Skinny is nominated for Acoustic Blues Album.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Hamilton’s annual literary festival, gritLIT, is seeking volunteers to join their Marketing Committee. The Committee manages media relations, community outreach and social media.
